Boats for rent

Steinsvik Fjordhytter has five boats for short or long time rental.

Our guests usually rents boats on a weekly basis. These boats are booked years in advance, but we often have available boats for drop-in guests. Please contact us if you want to rent a boat when you are in Steinsvik.

Four of our boats are of the model Øien 530F. These are well-known, sturdy and stable boats, popular for fishing in Norwegian fjords.

​In addition, we have a smaller Sandström 510 Classic. All boats are equipped with a 40 hp outboard engine and a fish-finder.

The price for renting a boat is €100 per day, or €300 for a whole week (€350 from 2026). Gasoline comes in addition. The boats come with a topped up tank, so you only pay for what you have used when you are done. We can also sell you gasoline in 20 liter cans for market price.

Steinsvik Fjordhytter has a private marina with a small dock house for preparing the catch of the day. There's also access to water and electricity.

The requirement for renting a boat in Norway is either having a boating license or being born before 1980. You must also wear a life jacket when fishing on the fjord. We have complimentary life jackets in the dock house if you don't bring your own.

Steinsvik Fjordhytter is a registred tourist fishing camp.
​This means you can bring the maximum legal amount of fish out of the country (read more at toll.no).
​We use online the catch registration system GoFish. Catch must be registred online after each fishing trip.
